Throughout my early travels I fell in love with capturing those fleeting and awe-inspiring moments that change your life, because maybe there was a chance I could inspire others to get out and experience the same thing. At the time it was hard for me to put thoughts into words as I was on a journey of self discovery, and to me, a picture spoke louder than words.
Coming home felt like an even bigger change, because I had all this new knowledge and experience that I wanted to share and use but didn’t know how. I knew that a “regular” job wasn’t in the books for me, and that I would need to find a way to create something for myself. I began taking photography seriously, spending a majority of my time learning both it’s technical and artistic aspects through observation, online resources, and other creators.
Over the years I was able to combine my passion for both the outdoors and photography, and began documenting my experiences online. As my account grew, and my work became recognized, I realized that turning this into a business was attainable. Now, I earn my living as a full time freelancer, who creates content while exploring our natural world.
